Nowadays, colour printing has become indispensable in home and offices. But it is noteworthy that print quality may differ due to paper quality, toner and ink cartridges, and other issues. In order to help you get better print results, we will discuss with you four techniques for raising the quality of colour printing.

01 Paper Quality

Not all papers are suited for printing. The thickness and smoothness of the paper should be taken into consideration. A paper that is too thick will not be pliable enough to pass through the feeding system while a paper that is too thin may easily deform during the fusing process. The most commonly used paper weights are 70g/to 90g/ as this paper has the characteristics of low stretchability, tight texture, no powdering, no fuzzing, and proper smoothness on the surface of the paper.

02 Clean Printhead

1.    Check the colour of the four colour blocks on the print quality report.

2.    If all the colours are clear, then the print quality is good.

3.    If colour missing or white lines appear, you can clean the printhead using the built-in programme.

4.    If the problem still exists after cleaning the printhead, you may replace the ink cartridge.

03 Examine Your Cartridge

Words or images that are fuzzy might also be caused by low toner or ink levels. As a result, you must check the toner or ink volume and, if necessary, replace the cartridge. Examine the imaging drum's surface for scratches, fingerprints, and other damage if toner or ink suffices.

04 Clean the Inside of the Printer

Dust, paper fiber or other debris inside the printer may also lead to poor print quality. Please follow the steps below to clean the inside of your printer:

1.    Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Wipe the inside of the machine with a damp lint-free cloth and wait for it to dry.

2.    Align the toner cartridge with the tracks inside the printer, and then push the toner cartridge until it is firmly seated. Close the toner access door, and then close the scanner assembly.

3. Plug the power cord and then turn on the printer. Print another page. If the issue is not resolved, you may have the printer serviced.

The next time you run into problems with colour printing, simply follow the methods mentioned above. Please don't hesitate to message us if you have any questions.
