How to Check Samsung Printer Region

Have your Samsung printer reported an error after installing a new cartridge? You may think there is something wrong with the cartridge or the chip. Actually, the true reason is the different region between the printer and the cartridge. When the two things are not matched, your printer will remind you the toner is not suitable. In this case, we could change the chip region manually by opening and closing the cover or restarting the printer. You may also want to know how to check the region of your printer. Check on printer

When your printer has a screen

• Press the Menu button

• Find Supplies Info. on the Information page and print it

• The Supplier information will show you the printer region

When your printer has no screen

• Press the Cancel button for a while until the LED light flashes

• The Supplies Information page will be printed and show you the printer region

Check on computer

• Install and open the printer driver

• Click Advanced Setting > Device Settings > Print Information in sequence

• Find Supplies Information and print

• The Supplier information will show you the printer region

1. If the regions of the chip and the printer are the same but the printer still warns of incompatible toner cartridge, it is likely that the chip region has been changed. In this case, you can change the chip region again by opening and closing the cover or restarting the printer

2.If the LED light turns red on a screenless printer, it is possible that the chip is not in good connection with the printer. In this situation, you also need to check the chip status using the printer driver.
