Chipjet Tip | You Should Confirm the Region in Which the Supplies Are Usable

OEMs will release several models of cartridges for printers that are published in different countries and regions. Consequently, the first thing you should do before buying a new cartridge is to verify the cartridge model. For example, you should confirm the region in which the supplies are usable before buying supplies for HP Color LaserJet Pro 154/254/180/181/280/281 series printers.

Models that can be used in China:

204A (CF510A/CF511A/CF512A/CF513A)

202A (CF500A/CF501A/CF502A/CF503A)

Models that are used in foreign countries only:

205A (CF530A/CF531A/CF532A/CF533A)

203A (CF540A/CF541A/CF542A/CF543A)

How to Check Cartridge Model

• Cartridge Label

Generally, a label with the model printed on it is adhered to the cartridge. You can find the model and buy the same one.

• Supplies Information Page

The Supplies Information Page will also tell the cartridge model. To print the page, enter “Menu” and find “System Setup”, and then Choose “Report” – “Supplies Info.” – “Yes”.

• HP Support Assistant

Open the HP Support Assistant and choose “HP Device Toolbox”. You can see the cartridge model.
