Chipjet Tip | How to Replace Ink Cartridge?

Even though most people are aware that ink cartridges should be changed when they run out, many of you might not know how to put a new cartridge in. As a result, we have summarized relevant queries and written this article to help you.

Replace Black and Tri-color Ink Cartridges

Black and tri-color cartridges have an integrated printhead built into the cartridge. Before installation, you should remove the sealing tape which covers the vent hole first. Then slide the new cartridge at a slight upward angle into the slot and push the cartridge towards the rear until it snaps into place.

Replace Individual Ink Cartridges

Individual ink cartridges do not have a built-in printhead.  Instead, the printhead is built into the printer.

Take out the empty cartridge and install your new cartridge in the same slot. Press on the new cartridge to secure. You should hear a click after pressing on it.

Cartridge Maintenance

1. Do not unpack the cartridge if not needed. Keep the cartridge at the proper temperature which is specified on the box;

2. To avoid the cartridge drying out, put it back into the printer as soon as you can after taking it out.
